holds up by September.

8. Besides, more & more people see they don't get the 'job' . . .
done.

Yeah: What 'heckuva job' is it?

Iraq?

Their 'illegal-and-non-last-resort' fraud that THEY claimed was supposed to cost no more than 50 BILLION$ and that was gonna be paid by itself after less than six months? The one the Iraqis would welcome us with flowers? THAT 'heckova job' ...DONE?

Or maybe it's their 'heckova job' on the gas tanks??

I could go on, and on . . . They're failing the people miserably. Their 'old' tricks don't (and won't) work (but they don't realize that yet and cannot realize that ever because they're complete mora/ons & criminal$).

4. Couldn't agree more...

If ALL DEMS (leadership and the masses) allow them to define us as cut-and-run-unpatriotic-tax-and-spend-liberals---then we are complete pansies who do not deserve a place in politics.

I'm so sick and tired of watching the Republican party define us in the most vile of terms. Conversely, they position their policies and ideas as the most amazing pieces of intellect ever to blossom from the wellspring that is their genius.

I'm.so.sick.of.it.

Where's our PR machine? Why don't we fight back? Where's the outrage at calling us "cut and runners"? Where are our leaders, dammit????? Why aren't they saying, "How in the HELL do you cut and run after being at it for more than THREE FRICKIN YEARS??"

I do hear snippets of hope--from Murtha, Feingold, Conyers. However, we need a cohesive, kick-ass, full-court-press plan to move America forward. We also need to be aggressively reactive when the Republicans lie their asses off about us. NO MORE!! No more apologies, either! Damn you Dick Durban and Harry Reid! You speak the truth and then you backpedal with tears in your eyes. Sickening!

This is the WORST, most blatantly Fascist, unAmerican and disgusting administration EVER. If we don't have the cajones to speak out and voice our outrage---then we are WORSE than these sick neocons. WORSE!!

Going into 06, I don't like what I see so far. The Dems are hanging back. Screw that! We need to be out in full force defending our ideas and speaking the truth about their horrid policies.

GRRRRRRR!!!!

7. The bushbots ought to remain to clean up the mess they have caused
But their supporters deserve nothing less then the kind of government they are bringing them. Big problem is the rest of us have to suffer through it.

10. It all boils down to just how many Americans are stupid
and ignorant enough to continue to support the Republicans.

12. I believe that the apathy may be a result of the general physical
and emotional weariness that prevails in our culture as a result of the stress from long commutes, long work hours and the lack of job security. Who has time for political activism when they are up to their necks with day to day survival problems?

The people that run the Republican mind control machine are professionals. The general public has little chance to be able to counter the barrage of propaganda that floods the media every day.

14. barrage is the right word
You can recognize the propaganda but some is subtle and very well thought out. A bit of a nudge here and there and thought is being well manipulated. Like ladjf said, citizens are so caught up in their lives, and so stressed, that they can't see it.

Remember, Kerry is a "flip flopper". Gore is "too stiff". What the hell did that one mean? The Democrats have no plan. They even call Democrats "taxers and spenders"-still! Unreal!

15. i believe that to be true, i believe it to be also true that americans...
love their cushy, to whatever extent the have it they love their bobby socks, their vanilla milkshakes, their 'pursuit of happiness' whatever that may be = golf, football, corporate sports, race cars, money, crack pipes, soap operas, putting people down, supporting they that enable them to put people down, start wars, SUV's, bust unions, drain pensions, apple pie, etc...

the list does go rather on & on, and it is true that the din of intrusive irritants only scampers people further off the map to where apathy will suffice them at least imo, and that is where too many elections are won & lost

"barrage" fits the breach quite well though http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/may2005/260505newbushism.htm

NOTE: Try Dick Cheney & Don Rumsfeld On Charges Of Treason To This Nation America Immediately!!!

17. Yes, we are very close on our analysis of the root causes of
America's apparent inability to vote their way out of the current political mess. You have already pointed out that there is an array of causes, some more significant than others. Just as in the 2000
election, there were numerous elements that contributed to Bush's installation into the office of the Presidency, i.e. voting fraud, the Nader effect, the Supreme Court bias, the Clinton scandal,
the Lieberman candidacy, Gore's advisers and the list could go on and on.

I guess the best we can do is to focus on the more crucial elements which at this time I believe are (1) vote fraud at the precinct level and (2) voter ignorance. It doesn't appear that either of these is going to get enough attention to rectify the bad situation.
