New Pew Poll: Bush at 36% (up a whole 3-points since April!)
The new Pew Poll has Bushie at 36% and calls it a "small bounce"--huh? given that its up three points since April it can't honestly be called a bounce at all since it's probably within the margin of error, but nevertheless, it shows that the big momentum the media has been giving Bush to boost his numbers has been, so far, an abysmal failure, much like his presidency.

http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=278

Here are his approval ratings for specific issues:
Terrorism: 47%
Iraq 35%
Economy 33%
Environment 32%
Immigration 32%
Energy 26%

In April the public was split on if the troops should come home right now--48-48, but today 50-45 percent approve of moving the troops out--he's lost ground there.

1. If 36% of my employers thought I was doing a good job
I'd be fired pretty damn quick.

4. The poll on that link is old
It's from the 12th, a week ago.

5. 36% is the average of several polls in the last week
and it's hardly anything for the Bush WH to brag about given all the support they were given by the corporate media to have a bounce of 2-3 points is pretty bad.

3. The next set of polls will not be kind to Bush
The polls after the two U.S. soldiers who were tortured and killed will be interesting.

I wonder if people are starting to focus back on Iraq because of it.
