US Troops Using An Iraqi Home in Ramadi as an 'Outpost'?
Wtf? Where is the family that should be living there?

U.S. Marines and U.S. Army soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division rest in an Iraqi home used as an outpost in Ramadi, 115 kilometers (70 miles) west of Baghdad, Iraq, Tuesday, June 20, 2006. Elsewhere, the U.S. military recovered the bodies of two 101st Airborne Division soldiers missing and reportedly kidnapped, and Iraqi officials said the Americans were first tortured and then killed in a 'barbaric' way. 2. The quartering of troops in private homes helped provoke the Revolution
I hope these troops haven't forgotten that with respect to Iraqi civilians.

3. I'd guess the Iraqi family...
...are spread over a reasonably large area, and possibly across the outside walls of the building.

5. The one slob has got his feet up on the furniture.
Like they owned the place. It's what you used to see during the German occupation of France.

6. I believe this is another war crime...
...another Geneva Conventions violation if I'm not mistaken. The propaganda is pretty thick too-- note that each caption contains the completely unrelated information "Elsewhere, the U.S. military recovered the bodies of two 101st Airborne Division soldiers missing and reportedly kidnapped, and Iraqi officials said the Americans were first tortured and then killed in a 'barbaric' way."

7. I wonder how difficult it would be for some...
...RPG-toting 'insurgent' to drive around Ramadi, looking for an apartment with a big yellow tapestry hanging in the window? I guess neither the troops nor the photographer think much about basic operational security.
