Be sure to look for the transcript of Bush with the EU and the Q&A afterwards. Better yet...watch the Ediot from Texas Doofus/Frat Boy make an ass of himself in front of the EU.

Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel was the one who got the brunt of Bushies joke but he also thanked "Josse" for his "hospitality." He didn't refer to them by their titles which is proper. He treated them like bar room drinking buddies he'd just had an "all nighter" with.

He also is angry and gestering through the whole thing and calls a reporter "ABSURD" when he asks a question about the US flying prisoners around to secret prisons in Europe.

His behavior is even more shocking that usual. I think folks are afraid of him and so therefore they try to be very polite. He looked like a person on "the edge" where you don't want to say to much because they might turn violent on you.

2. Anyone got a link?
I hate it when posters say "watch this" or "read this" without supplying a link.

3. It was duly noted by Der Spiegel. This is hilarious
In the run-up to the meeting, Austria's conservative Christian Democratic chancellor, Wolfgang Schüssel was nervous. One word: Guantanamo. Three suicides. Deep skepticism in Austria and across Europe of Bush's policies. Indeed, in recent days the political opposition and media have put extreme pressure on Schüssel to remind the US of its responsibility to respect the human rights of prisoners at the US prison camp in Cuba. It would have been a symbolic act, of course. But it would have been one way for Schüssel to polish his foreign policy image, which took a beating during his country's EU presidency during the past six months.

But in the end, Bush leant Schüssel a helping hand. Indeed, he was free-flowing in his friendly, symbolic gestures to the Austrians and the Europeans. He extensively expressed his desire to close the Guantanamo camp. And he brought up the issue himself -- Schüssel didn't even have to mention it. Still, all he offered was a symbolic gesture -- Bush sees no possibility of closing the prison camp in the short-term. But his statements were very clear: "I'd like to end Guantanamo. I'd like it to be over with."

For his part, Schüssel's mood had already been boosted when Bush first addressed him as "Mister Chancellor," but then corrected himself: "I call him Wolfgang."

5. Thanks for more link on this horrible display of incompetence by our
"Selected P-Resident." If the folks who remember Hitler weren't dead in their graves or so old they can't speak then folks would remember that Bush is closer to Hitler than anything we've seen since. He's a "cruel dictator" propped up by Military and factions that support him and as insulated and isolated as Hitler was. But, sadly so many of our "oldies" have died and there are not enough "War Baby Americans" who can try to convince our people...that the World has "been there and done this before."

STOP GEORGE BUSH before we have GAS OVENS once AGAIN! But no one hears us..even those whose grandparents died in Nazi Germany. In many cases those who lost relatives in Nazi German ...support the "Little Emperor." The NeoCons for instance. HOW COULD THEY TURN AGAINST WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM...when I'm a White/Anglo/French/English Christian who is HORRIFIED BY BUSH AND HIS NEW TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENT which SMAKES OF HITLER FASCISM?

6. Here's link to his travels from "White House.gov" plus a RANT from me
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 06:05 PM by KoKo01
There doesn't seem to be a linked transcript yet of this like when he's in DC and the site posts transcripts of the Press Conference.
BUT...here's the RANT:
I have no doubt that "Crooks and Liars" and other sites aren't going to post a "feed" of his horrible performance late on, though. We just have to wait until the feed/video from CNN or MSNBC becomes available and is passed aroung to the Internet folks.

I was hoping for a transcript...but believe me he FLUBBED UP BIG TIME...I can't believe we have over two more years of this clueless idiot who thinks all the World SUCKS UP TO HIM...because he's a BUSH and ENTITLED.

Maybe he's correct if one reads Kevin Phillips book "Bush Dynasty" but no Dynasty Lasts Forever and it's time to strike him out of the "Tomb Mentions" like the ancient Egyptians did for their FAILED PHAROH'S. Time for the BUSHIES to get the DEEP SIX in History.

I feel sad for all those we read about in our History books as kids that we couldn't relate to because some of us didn't think ...BAD THINGS HAPPEN and we BELIEVED AMERICA WAS GREAT...NEW PARADIGM.........UGH...we were sold CRAP. But it doesn't mean that the "DREAM" should be dead...it's that BAD FOLKS took it over and CORRUPTED IT. :-( So sad..all the work folks did to stop another HITLER...and now the HITLER wears "cowboy boots" and calls World Leaders by their first names like he lives in some world where he can demean THEIR STATUS while ENHANCING his own. .......depressing.
