There were NO TERRORISTS in Iraq, because Saddam wouldn't let ANY of Bin Laden's people INTO Iraq and that is why Saddam was on Bin Laden's hit list, too, you dumb ass.

I can't believe the media lets them get away with the CONSTANT STREAM OF LIES.

16. There are also lots of good quotes from Republicans
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 07:25 PM by wicasa
such as Bill Frist when he criticized Clinton for going to war in the Balkans without a clear plan.

Tom DeLay really said some things that we could now use to show what a hypocrite he is too. Also Newt Gingrich, but with regard to DeLay and Gingrich it is now mostly mute (unless Gingrich really does run for President of course).

7. If we set a timetable, the terrorist will wait it out. Then what?
Then they fight the Iraqis. The 260,000 Iraqi forces can handle the foreign fighters. Americans can still fight terror the way they are fighting terror in other parts of the world. The 25 million Iraqis can take care of themselves.

10. We?
Sam Brownback has spent his life in the service of others. He was born in Parker, Kansas and raised on a farm where his mother and father still live. He was a leader in high school, in Future Farmers of America as state president, as student body president at Kansas State University and president of his class at University of Kansas Law School.

Sam served as a White House Fellow in the first Bush Administration and was the youngest Secretary of Agriculture in Kansas history. When he was 38, he was elected to the House of Representatives with the Republican Revolution in 1994. In 1996, he was elected to the U.S. Senate seat held by Bob Dole.

20. here is Santorum's nice WMD try
The following are the six key points contained in the unclassified overview:

• Since 2003 Coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent.

• Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist.

• Pre-Gulf War Iraqi chemical weapons could be sold on the black market. Use of these weapons by terrorists or insurgent groups would have implications for Coalition forces in Iraq. The possibility of use outside Iraq cannot be ruled out.

• The most likely munitions remaining are sarin and mustard-filled projectiles.

• The purity of the agent inside the munitions depends on many factors, including the manufacturing process, potential additives, and environmental storage conditions. While agents degrade over time, chemical warfare agents remain hazardous and potentially lethal.

• It has been reported in open press that insurgents and Iraqi groups desire to acquire and use chemical weapons.

Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 07:31 PM by Roland99
Caused no damage via the chemicals.

Whoever had fired them didn't know what they had and the chemicals didn't mix (as they would have with a proper firing).

Just decade-old stuff laying around, probably buried next to some MiGs

our team being able to express themselves about Iraq.
(I know the Dem ladies are doing that also on LK)

Such a nice dilemma for a change!

82. You, your Dad, DUers, Randi Rhodes and me. Discouraging that
Democratic Senators voices will not be heard because the Republican words will be played over and over on all MSM.

90. Asking about Iran/Iraq war, how long it took. Better way to wage effort.
Warner: This gvt hasn't been given a chance. Didn't see EU helping (he forgot poland). Don't see international desire to help.
Kerry: Legitimate question, deserves and answer. Many countries reluctant to get involved withUSA because they see the same mistakes I just recounted and don't see this admin (getting it right)

80. Cue in EmilyLou Harris new song
Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 08:32 PM by Jeanette in FL
"Right Now" This would be a great song right now.
edit: lyrics

Miles between us here we are
Sat by side a stranded car
Right now, baby right now
And it's too dark to see
Anyhow so where are we
Right now,baby, right now
You could say we've both come down
To a place called lonesome town
When did you loose a hold on me
Anyhow and where are we
Right now,oh , baby right now

We stood up and said 'I do'
Vowed to see each other through
Right now, baby right now
I'm looking down this road tonight
And i don't see a light
Right now, baby right now
If we're so clever tell me how
Were waiting for the wrecker now
Let's forget what used to be
Anyhow and where are we
Right now,oh baby right now

Mark Knopfler Lyrics

Edited on Wed Jun-21-06 08:50 PM by Hippo_Tron
He's discussing the matter intelligently with Kerry and not resorting to partisan attacks. I still disagree with basically every word that he is saying but I admire his civility.

99. I am amazed at this, such little posing, mostly really asking, listening
don't expect changed minds necessarily, wouldn't be suprised though, but this is how it is supposed to work, people talking together. And in semi-public. No throwing out catch phrases, but having a discussion.

101. dissociation between individuals and (oh dang all I can think of is)..
getting the job done, is up to the individual. Some can do it easier, some less easily. Medical people do this in the Emergency Room. Warner seems 1 who will not let his feeling bad for individuals get in his way of seeing the group. I am not agreeing that this is good or right, just talking here. And I disagree with most of what he says as far as the occupation and what supporting whom really is.
