Stopping the war would be a "politically fatal mistake" for GOP
Sounds like Rove has decided that a few hundred more dead US troops (not to mention a few thousand dead Iraqis) will be a small price to pay for decent GOP results in the mid-term elections.

"But people who attended a series of high-level meetings this month between White House and Congressional officials say President Bush's aides argued that it could be a politically fatal mistake for Republicans to walk away from the war in an election year...."

1. It's quite a gamble. It could be a mighty shitty hot summer in Iraq.
Hard to believe they would jump on this one. They are dumber or more desperate than I even thought.

Bushy said take down Saddam and install democracy. Saddam is gone, Iraq has new government and constitution.

What else is there to do?

6. You mean we may occupy their country
for our corporate profit? And our troops are dying for corporate profits.

Even though the NK whackjobs are publically, visibly building
the weapons with which they are going to blackmail the pacific rim.
