John King interviewing Cheney on CNN, coming up at some point.
He's taking Wolf's place today

any bets on how hard hitting his questions will be?

part of his tease was something along the lines of Cheney's asserting that Dems are "raising the white flag" over Iraqi troop withdrawal

will this just be another platform for junta propaganda?

1. Oops -- I got my Johns confused! John King is OK
Edited on Thu Jun-22-06 03:17 PM by LSparkle
John ROBERTS is the fluffball ... I loved Randi's assessment of him -- all hair and fluff but no brains. He's sort of a male version of the FauxTrashPie newsmodels. King, on the other hand, may actually ask Cheney something worth tuning in for ...

2. Reminds me of The Daily Show last night
Jon Stewart asked Anderson Cooper if he was going to save CNN.

Sure needs saving!

3. how bout Stewart's reaction to Cooper's statement about CNN's "mission"
I can't remember what he said, exactly, but he basically LAUGHED when Cooper said it, and compared CNN to MSNBC and Fox

4. starting now: disussing dems' "redeployment" resolutions.
he asked him "what's WRONG" with dems doing this?

that's how he set it up

leading question much?

Cheney filibustering.....says if we go home, it'll be "devastating" on the War on Terror

it'll be ''validating and encouraging the terrorists''

6. cheney blathering on and on about how we're "taking the fight"
to terrorists around the world, by being in Iraq

everything he's saying is connecting Iraq to the WOT

King citing stats saying that the majority of American people WANT us out

he's actually INTERRUPTING Cheney!

way better than that fatfu** Russert so far

10. hey! Agent Mike! did you see that?
he just kept saying the same crap, over and over: the terrorists are everywhere, and if we cut and run before the job is done in Iraq, they'll FOLLOW us!

well, Dick, you seem to have contradicted yourself. If we're doing the job, so SUCCESSFULLY, as you just said, how on earth can those terra-ists, who are ALL in Iraq now, apparently, have the wherewithal to strike anywhere else?

isn't that why we're there? which is it?

and, King, are you going to ask him about the memo from the ambassador, or whoever it was, who said that things are unbelievably worse in Iraq than we're being told?

I've been gone for awhile, and haven't seen any discussion on that. sure haven't seen anything in the media. what's the deal with that?

12. yeah.....seems to be devolving into a platform for Cheney to spout
his lies, with ZERO followup

was that the quid pro quo for the interview?

just the question

pretty funny response to a question about Cheney possibly being a witnesss at Libby's trial:

"that's a hypothetical, and I'm not going to answer it"

gee, Dick, you sure weren't shy about making hypothetical statements (some would call them huge LIES), during the runup to the war. what happened? did you learn your lesson from that?

14. He is evil.
He doesn't worry about polls. And he doesn't worry who dies in order for him to make an oil profit.

15. he really is, and consciously so. that's what makes him EVIL, and not
insane, like the Xtian ideologues, who form the ballast of thuglican miasma

he knows exactly what he's doing, and at what cost to the country, and the world

there's a special circle of hell for him and Rumsfeld

as for the puppet, does he even count anymore?

17. Remember what Al Gore told Charlie Rose the other night?
Rose asked Al if he thought W planned to invade Iraq as far back as during the campaign of 2000. Al responded: No, Cheney hadn't told W yet that W was going to be invading Iraq.

Even Rose couldn't suppress laughter. I hope Rose has had his epiphany and will use his program for the good of the country and world in the time he has left on the planet.
