V for Vendetta - just saw it. W O W !

I was flying back from watching Togo lose a heartbreaker to the Swiss, when they showed this movie on the flight.

I had heard nothing about it, and found myself really enjoying the message.
One quote I will not forget:
"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."

Some of the movie seemed uneven, until you realize that the plot deliberately uses that slight uneveness to great effect. I do not believe that anyone in the WHite House will be allowed to see this flick. And because of that I recommend it even more.

(Hint: The good guys win)

6. This was my favorite film

After watching it, I told everyone to go see it. Several people watched it multiple times. I did hear some right wing spin on Scarborough trying to attack the movie. The administration obviously didn't want this movie to be seen, so there was very little coverage of its successes when it came out. Unlike the big push by the Catholic church to stop people was seeing the Da Vinci Code which backfired and gave it the best publicity, V for Vendetti was intentionally kept low key.

7. I finally got to see it a few weeks ago.

I've been to the movie 3 times already and am ready to go again.

My all time favorite movie for the last 30+ years has now been replaced by V.
It took some doing to replace "The Sound of Music" as my favorite film.

Can't wait to own it. I actually had tears of pride streaming down my face at the theater when I saw it - and dreams of Americans taking back our country. Very inspiring movie.

11. I STILL want a Gift DVD set bundled with a V mask/costume in it!

Moreso than any other DVD gift set that was offered in the past, this would make the most sense! We all need to be out on the streets come Halloween and early November before this election to make what's in that quote very real for these criminals now! I've been holding off preordering the "special edition" set they have now until I know whether this will or won't be available then!
