a character trait of the GOP? I have no bumper stickers to id that I am Dem.

Do you think this is coincidence? Are Republicans more mean than others. I find that they won't give way to you or let you into lanes on the highway? They complain more about neigbors in our neighborhood and push past you in lines?

1. A sticker like that is as good as a neon sign saying "I'm am an asshole"

3. Most people who tailgate me, pass me unsafely and don't use signals
either have W or Bush-Cheney sticker or an SUV, luxury car or huge pickup truck or both.

7. My area is lousy with them. You can't go to the supermarket without
running into at least one jerk in a giant car going down the parking lot lane the wrong way. And they want YOU to get out of THEIR way. That is just one example of the many ways they think they're entitled.

8. Oy! I live in NE GA too!
I do believe that the worst drivers in the world inhabit GA 400, I-285, Hwy 316 and I-75/I85.

I live in a city with lots of college students from the metro Atlanta area. Young, rich and stupid Republican frat boys and girls in large trucks and Hummers with W stickers are the WORST.
:grr: Gawd! They drive me crazy with their speeding and complete disregard for my city, its citizens, our neighborhoods and my safety.

5. Bush folks are ass holes - but so are a lot of other drivers
without stickers. I give them the finger if they have a Bush sticker.

10. don't know if they're all like that - I've got a Bush/Cheney sticker story
that you might like.

I've got several Democratic leaning bumper stickers on the car so there's no mistake I'm a proud member of the Democratic party. My favorite is "Don't blame me. I voted for Gore" which I've had on the car since 2001. One day I was tooling down the highway when I passed a car with a B/C sticker on the front of it. It was trying to merge onto the highway from a rural road. They must have seen my front stickers because as I drove by the intersection the occupants of the car leaned out of it and flipped me off. I blew it off, chuckled to myself and continued on down the road. I don't know how much time had passed but all of a sudden I heard a horn blaring and I looked in the rear view mirror to see my little B/C friends had finally made it onto the highway and were now behind me. They continued blaring their horn and when they realized I was checking them out in the rear view mirror they began flipping me off. They tailgated for a few moments then they jumped into the next land and blasted by me honking their horn and giving me the finger. As I lost sight of them I thought "what a couple of a--holes". I tried to let it go but it kinda freaked me out that they made such a point to catch up to me and harass me. Just as I was beginning to wonder whatever happened to the concept karma, I saw the B/C car alongside the road with a Highway Patrol car behind it. I drove by just in time to see the young "lady" who was driving the car signing the ticket. I wanted to honk and wave at them but I didn't want to spook the trooper so I just let them watch me drive down the road with my Democratic stickers.

Don't worry, their misdeeds will catch up to them.

11. I've been nearly hit by cars will all kinds of bumper stickers
Including Kerry, and a few pushing one candidate or another for 2008. Then again, I ride a motorcycle, and get no respect even though I get better MPG than anything with four wheels and take up much less parking space (that really matters in the DC area).

*SIGH*

16. going back to old days of 'make love not war' stickers
psychadelic and pink van, ban the bomb, make love not war stickers. Wouldn't that be fun! (at least it would be in our neighborhood!)

15. Yes. And they never give "Thank-You-Waves."
My main route to work involves a long merge. I usually let two cars in.

I've noticed for a long time that the Bush/Cheney stickered car drivers never, ever give me a thank-you wave.

And that seriously pisses me off. :-)
