The Bush DOJ cannot help but look foolish whenever a terror arrest is made

What's up with that? What good is all this lurking in Americans' bank accounts, phone records and broadband lines if the best they can come up with is big talking small time dreamers that they nab with good old fashioned, dishonest entrapment?

2. what impressed me about this is an obvious truth:

Terrorism is best treated as a criminal offense and fought with police, FBI and the like. Not the military! The only way you can use a military is if you are okay with bombing the hell out of everyone in the region. They don't dare do it in Florida--there are American citizens all around. Had this building full of terrorist-wannabees been in Baghdad, they would have just dropped a bomb on them. Apparently Iraqi civilians do not count.

In 2004 Kerry was attacked for saying that terrorism should be treated as a crime, but he is right. Wars are between countries. Terrorism is a crime, and you fight it with law enforcement and intelligence.
