Mission Accomplished...'Miami 7' story blunts 'Banking' story.
The Miami story worked great! The press, totally distracted by the word from Rove 'terror', hardly noticed that our bank records are now being sifted through by our 'trust us' federal government. Another right to privacy perverted by Bushco.

1. But, we're now safe from...
The Miami-SEVEN!

I've noticed a new meme from the renegade telecoms over the past couple
of days as well.

Now, it's... "You must have something to hide if you don't want to be monitored."

No, I have nothing to hide. I'm only interested in not having my Constitutional
Rights eroded any more than they already are... Thank you very much.

2. Rove has hundreds of these up his sleeve
ready to pull them out anytime he needs them.

3. ... and the pliant Corporate Media gobbles them up like candy...
Unbelievable!

Although, I've noticed a trend of Americans getting back to their cynical and
skeptical roots on this type of thing.

Makes me feel a little better.

4. "Pliant Corporate Media"
You got that right! Sometimes when I'm piping Air America Radio through my house on my Intercom I feel a chill down my spine ... like in the past when oppressed peoples listen to Radio Free Europe.

I know this may sound trite, but who in the hell authorized CNN to put on that Racist jerk "Glen Beck?" Wolfie is Rove's primary mouthpiece on CNN, yet this nasty Administration have to provide insult to injury and air this "waste of humanity." And just when I thought "Nancy Grace" was the biggest insult to our (Liberals) intelligence.

Propaganda and distraction are SOP for the USA's Corporate Cable Media.

"Pliant" is an understatement, they are OWNED by the BushBotBorg. :puke:

6. It's "Pay-for-Play"...
I'm of the impression most of the so-called media outlets have cut their
reporting staff almost completely.

All that remains is the talking faces which appear on the screen.

That's why they miss the really big stories. Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Protests...
That type of thing. Real news which effects hundreds of thousands if not millions
of people. But, those are only numbers... (In the minds of the Administration)

I'd swear CBS is trying to do it, but, then it fades.

5. Interesting Canvassing In A "Purple" District
Yesterday I talked with several "possibles"...people who were previous canvassed as being Repugnican or booosh supporters who now call themselves "Independent" or are showing negative feelings towards this regime. Lots of issues work into this...Iraq, the economy, illegal immigration...and I find it very fascinating to talk with these people and see where their mindset is. Many have found reasons to vote against Repugnicans, but yet have found a reason to vote FOR a Democrat...but reaching out and communicating with them shows interest...unlike being taken for granted as they were as being Repugnicans.

Being in suburban Chicago, the "Miami 7" story was a big deal here, but not for the reasons this regime had hoped. First, its becoming clear that this "terrorist" cell is the gang that can't shoot straight, and the fact a government agent claimed he was playing "Al Queda" smells like entrapment. Also, several I talked to laughed at how flimsy the case was...and little to no details...the relationship to the phony "Skittle Color" terror alerts of 2004 are ringing to with many...and the Chicken Little mentality of the corporate media is also very suspect. How convenient it was that Dick Chenny wasn't just in town, but stumping for the Repugnican in this district the day this story came down...and it didn't miss attention by many of the people I talked to. Instead of distracting from the crimes this regime is committing, it's showing the political nature...and overall selfishness and incompetence of this regime.

People are more concerned with why it costs $3 a gallon for gas or why funding to their local schools or health care has been cut...things they really feel. Granted there are those who this ploy works...but the ongoing lying and abuse of power this regime is whats on display here. Now for Democrats to bridge the gap...answer the questions about the real issues and debunk the lies and distortions.
