This unadulterated, rampant rash of flag burning across the land must stop now!

5. .....and NONE OF THEM within the US?
Honestly, when was the last time anybody here saw some protestor burn a flag in the US? Trust me, if it had been done it would have been all over the news ad nauseum, second in coverage only to 9/11.

The stench of desperation from that party is overwhelming.

2. He's a fucking opportunistic bastard, and
he disgusts me. And the documented desecrations you refer to in your post #1 is over a 12 year period. He keeps talking about people defecating on the flag. Oh really? I'm sure this happens on a daily issue. Not. And that old chestnut; "how could anyone be against this?" Fuck you, Orrin.

3. He took time to call for sending the New York Times to Gitmo.
Then he fiegned shock at the NYT for snitching during a time of war.

Give the congress the right to protect the American flag.

that's an exact quote, then he said the words, "Support the flag".

7. What a dolt...
I loved the point about the flags being made in China. Clearly, the Repugs care so much about the "American-ness" of the flag. And shame on any Dem who's running around screaming for this too.

8. I was trying to get through but couldn't. I wanted to point out
to him that this is hardly the issue on which Congress should get testy about protecting its power since they have bowed to the Unitary Executive so many times and have not represented the people while doing so. I also wanted to point out that he apparently had no problem with 5 unelected judges overturning the will of the people in a federal election.
