So will Rush serve "HARD" time (second-degree misdemeanor)?

Rush Limbaugh could see a deal with prosecutors in a long-running prescription fraud case collapse after authorities found a bottle of Viagra in his bag at Palm Beach International Airport. The prescription was not in his name.

Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Customs officials found the Viagra in his luggage but his name was not on the prescription, said Paul Miller, a spokesman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Miller said the alleged violation could be a second-degree misdemeanor. The sheriff's office was investigating and will soon turn the case over to the state attorney's office, which had no immediate comment Tuesday.

Under the deal reached last month with prosecutors, Limbaugh was not to be arrested for any infraction for 18 months in exchange for authorities deferring a charge of "doctor shopping." Prosecutors had alleged the conservative talk-show host illegally deceived multiple physicians to receive overlapping painkiller prescriptions.

2. Here's what I find amusing -
Rush was embarrassed to use Viagra. He wanted to keep it a secret and had a prescription filled in his physician's name, then tried to take it out of the country. With the trouble he'd already been in, the guy was just plain stupid to do such a thing, knowing it was illegal to be in possession of another person's prescription. Of course Rush will expect special treatment because he's a media personality and boo hoo hoo.....

I think he should be locked up just for being a dumbass.

9. I think
he has violated his terms under the agreement he was allowed to make on the previous accusations. He was in possession of someone else's prescription drug. The doctor and Rush have some explaining to do because this is an illegal act. Now if that doctor was accompanying him on the trip he may have some wiggle room but of course we could make that a real scandal as well. But if not, then we are talking illegal possession of a prescription drug. Same song different verse.

11. Well let's see
Florida Statute: 893.13(8)(a)4. 3rd Write a prescription for a controlled substance for a patient, other person, or an animal if the sole purpose of writing the prescription is a monetary benefit for the practitioner.

Looks like he got his doc to break the law too.

12. Did the bottle say viagra or did the pills?
Cuz blue is the color of his true love in the large dose tablet

gem of a picture from AMERICAblog

He had purchased an awful lot of the stuff, as we recall. Is his probation officer sure it has all been accounted for? My granddad liked his hooch. He kept bottles all over the place. Grandma never could get them all rounded up. Rush is ever so much more resourceful than my granddad.

14. Didn't one report say Viagra and other pills? Maybe other pills
were contained in the bottle along with Viagra. Were all pills tested?

I keep telling my wife that those daily/weekly dosage containers that she has in her purse are illegal, since she has removed the pills from their prescription bottles.

20. The plea deal was that he could not break ANY law for the next 18 months
felony or not. And his willingness to carry a deceptively-labed perscription after being charged with doctor shopping shows that his rehab is not working at worst and contempt for the law at best. Even Nicole Bush got full-time rehab!
