Viagra and perceived weakness....
....well we have all had our fun and Lord knows beating up on Limbaugh is that.He is a fat and foolish and repugnant fish in the undersized barrel of his limited mind scope....but his real crime has to do with the name on the bottle and not the DRUG.And while Rush heading for the third world with a bottle of pills and an eye for the underage is frightening,I assure you Viagra is used by an equal number of democrats, though I hope with a higher purpose.
We try to be more open here and call people out on only their hypocrisy and not their infirmities (and NO that is Not a pun).We don't attack on race, religion, sexual orientation, honest political differences, or age...only the perverse use of or attacks on these. So, to my mind Viagra is needing both a champion and a defense...
I have used it and it works.I think of myself as neither a "limp dick nor a loser".I am a 53 year old with a spinal injury and on blood pressure medications.Without this, I can satisfy a women....with this we can each consummate-and that is the miracle. So enjoy your jokes, and no, I am NOT offended. My only concern would be that we not stigma fy a drug that could help some of our own. And yes, this is a ringing endorsement of the drug for those on the fence.....

I say.. Who the fuck cares if he has Viagra. If the script is real and legal who cares.

3. The use of Viagra isn't the issue.
It's concealing it - and having a physician act in an unethical manner by filling it in his name to help you conceal it. Rush believes he doesn't have to follow the rules like the rest of us do - just like all the criminals he supports. That's the problem.

4. Rush attacks anyone who cannot make him powerful and rich.
Edited on Tue Jun-27-06 03:43 PM by applegrove
That means 3/4 of America. I think 3/4 of America can joke on him. Since he makes a job of it.. they are allowed their say.

I think most people think of viagara as up there with blood pressure pills - I really do.

It is just that this is Rush.

But I can fully understand why it rings negatively with ya.

I think too the hard thing with the internet is you don't see body language or tone of voice. So you miss out on the 70% of communication that is non-verbal. I think the emphasis is on RUSH not the viagara.

6. You have a point
And it really doesn't mean squat to me that Rush is using Viagra. Hell, I can even understand why he tried to conceal it. However I do find it a bit suspicious, and more than a bit disgusting that he felt the need to take a bottle of the stuff with him on a weekend trip to a known sex tourist hotspot that caters to those with a prediliction for a "younger audience":puke:

That being said, I have little sympathy for a man who brought this condition on himself through the prolonged use of oxycotin. And besides, I think that payback to the pigboy is long overdue.

10. Well, I hate to tell you this
But Viagra and other ED medicines were pretty much a joke as soon as they hit the shelf. It is, after all, the juvenile nature of American humor:shrug: And while they do provide a legit function, like any other drug they are used and abused by many many people who really don't need them.

11. I'm sure it is a boon, for many people.
It's a shame that Rush's alleged behavior is going to cast a bad light on the drug for a short time. Especially when he could have gotten a legitimate prescription or even asked the doctor for samples if he'd been that concerned about his precious privacy. He probably still would have been required to tell his parole officer he was taking the stuff, but life's tough in the big city. He got himself a sweet deal a couple months back and it looks like he's already blown it. Nobody's fault but his own.

What I want to know is what were the other drugs Rush had and did he have valid scripts for them?
