4 p.m.: How can the government avoid spending $2 billion in fraud and waste the next time there's a disaster?

5 p.m.: When is it OK for the president to revise, interpret or disregard a law?

1. My answers ....
4 pm: Appoint James Lee Witt to FEMA

5 pm: Congress revises, and interprets the law, its not the President's business, signing statements are intended for the President to further clarify what Congress has submitted, not to contradict or disregard the law.

7 pm: I think it has gone well enough, stop already.

2. My answer to the 5 p.m. question:
No Jack, the President shouldn't be able to change laws by himself. That's why we declared our independence from England. Maybe people should go read the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution this July 4th, instead of grilling burgers and hot dogs. I'm surprised there are any buildings standing out there on the East Coast, what with all the founding fathers rolling over in their graves.

4. I edited my reply here is my final one:
No Jack, the President shouldn't be able to change laws by himself. That's the reason why we declared our independence from England in 1776. Maybe people should go read the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution this July 4th, instead of calling themselves patriots just because they wave the flag.

3. More states need to ban public smoking.
Edited on Tue Jun-27-06 04:04 PM by iconoclastNYC
I should be able to go anywhere i want to enjoy a healthy smoke free environment.

Addiction to nicotine does not give anyone the right to pollute indoor air with thier cancer causing exhaust.

It makes about as much sense as running a lawn mower indoors.

5. Out about 500 replies...
only two were in favor of the President being able to do this. I think that is a good summary of our nation.
