This "law" that prohibits release of "classified US information",....
,...anyone have that on hand? I wonder if there's an exception for illegal conduct on behalf of government officials? It's hard for me to fathom the absence of such an exception (except, the law was enacted via a Republican-controlled congress).

1. As I am listening
to the slimbeball Pat Roberts on Wolf Blitzer, it has occurred to me that they are not going after the leakers because this story about "following the money," which has been known for years, was fed to these newspapers deliberately in order to SHUT THESE NEWSPAPERS UP in regard to all other and any activities done by the criminal cabal that has seized our country.

This is a deliberate leaking in order to prosecute these newspapers and threaten them enough to intimidate them into silence.

2. Maybe, maybe not. I'd like to see the full context of the law.
Even if your guesstimate is true, there is a simultaneous "chilling effect" on noble whistle-blowers. Did this law over-ride those protections?

Of course, no Republican advocate for Bush actually cites the laws they assert as supporting their position. I suspect there is reason for that.

3. After a brief research, I believe you are correct. "CIPA",....
,...18 U.S.C. is involved. I don't have the time to do full research right now. But, I am facing imminent "discharge" due to "re-structuring" Since I am prepared to continue to fully perform the position originally offered and rejecting the diminished (both economically and professionally) the unilaterally "re-adjusted" position imposed, I figure I'll get the boot, soon.

Maybe, I'll ultimately be able to come out of the closet and be a fully expressed and exposed, Just Me.

6. This law was created in 1993/4,...
,...I haven't much time on my hands right now and was hoping a DUer had more familiarity. Guess I was wrong on that. If possible, I'll find time to explore this more.
