WHAT Revolution? WHAT Independence?
Edited on Tue Jun-27-06 08:28 PM by Ripley
How trite this holiday on July 4th in the United States of America has become.

Americans equate it with Fireworks (woohoo!) - the best coming from Italy these days, but originating in China.

Wave the flag. More. Morer. MOST!

Then ask someone why those early Americans were so eager to BE RID OF King George.

We live in the Greatest Nation on Earth (because TV TOLD ME SO) and afterall gasoline prices have gone down, not up prior to this holiday. See? The silly neysayers are wrong again. I can get in my big Explorer and hit the road, eat the damn good American food I know along any freeway of America. I can eat McDonalds everywhere. I can shop for high fructose corn syrup-laden corn chip snacks at every Exxon on every stop! I can shop Old Navy when I get there. Oh, but wait, I am being delayed. WTF! Road work. Look at those slackers over there beside the highway in the shade! Get UP MOFO's!!! Fix MY ROAD! Damn lazy you know whats. What's that? The bridge is out? Because of what? CLENIS, I KNEW IT! Well, anyway, I can buy a funny hat when I get there and get my picture taken that will remind me what a good time I had. I am the bestest person in the bestest nation. Ever. I feel soo good that I am an American. I'm going to buy another American flag made in China and spit on Jane Fonda's tit.

Pass the bud lite.

6. Millions are NOT asleep.
They are SICK and TIRED of the same old, same old. No difference between the two.

Where is Our Leader?

Don't want to hear about a leader? Too bad. That is what is lacking. A LEADER. A LOUD VOICE THAT ALL CAN HEAR.

If someone does not step up soon, this country is OVER.

9. So what are you saying, that we should incite rioting and be
arrested as home grown terrorists? Not me. Don't know what the fuck to do, but we must do something.

10. Oh! and I forgot to add SEX!
Movie stars, Rush, Free Republic, and designated liberal blog attacks to get my point across.

Democrats are not saving us when they use the same Cheney/Rove-speak of terra terra terra and ignore not only their base, but the fucking polls that have given them a wide open field.

Makes you wonder huh?

12. Thats right ! ... The Exceptional Americans...
Serious question though?

Besides our great Constituion and Declaration of Independence. and other fine documents.....

As for our deeds ... What good have we really done? We have never really lived by the words in our great documents... Only the Civil Rights movement forced them to live by the framework.

13. Excellent point about Civil Rights in the 1960's.
Since then? What new Progressive legislation has been passed that lifts people up in America?

Not many. We see Corporate Welfare and Wars that empty the National Treasury into the pockets of the few, namely, Halliburton and DICK Cheney.

However flawed those guys were who wrote The FRAMEWORK of the Constitution of the United States of America, (didn't include women, had slaves, etc.) they had an Idea that was Noble.

We are so far from Noble.
