I keep hoping they'll duplicate things like 1900 House, Pioneer House, and the one on London during the Blitz. The one on the cowboys and the cattle drive fell flat: there is no way in the world you could duplicate the scale today.

Some of those things look good, though, especially Frontline, the only real in depth news program anywhere in the US.

just kidding about the last. I know they don't, and never will, especially now.

And I'm fortunate to be in a market that HAS to have the worst local outlet in the country: WTTW, in which they run the SAME show three times each night.

I didn't want them to take me off the list. :)

In fact, PBS is the only reason why I own a TeeVee. The other stuff is crap.

Besides Homicide: Life on the Street, this is the best cop show of recent years. Helen Mirren OWNS as Jane Tennison. :D

was a GREAT series I'm going to love seeing it again! :-)
