I'll never get over this grudge I carry against certain Democratic leaders, who I occasionally lean on admittedly, for not even submitting articles of impeachment against Bush.

I know all the standard comebacks, THEY own the house and senate and its a waste of time, etc. But I wish just one of them would submit the articles, REGARDLESS of the fact that it won't go through the house and senate.

Do I have to submit his many crimes to them and show them how many times over he qualifies for impeachment? Are they so defeated and cowed up there that they won't even try?

Am I wasting my anger here?

1. No waste at all. There has never been an administration more in
need of impeaching on so many different levels than this one. The totality of this administration in crimes is staggering.

3. Staggering lack of action.
One might call it cutting and running, but I won't.

2. I'm with you.
I'm sick of this "Well there's nothing we can do" copout.

4. In order to submit the articles and be credible
there must be an investigation and hearings first. Otherwise, it's a case of shoot first, ask questions later. And it looks unprofessional, even though we know the guy is a bum.

That investigative and hearings process cannot happen until we take back the House and Senate. The GOP aren't about to investigate and hold hearings. And we haven't the majority to call for them.

Direct your anger towards getting a majority in both houses. That's where it needs to be aimed at this stage.

5. Even one Democrat submitting articles would paint the entire party.
Rove would love it and we would have zero chance of taking back Congress this Fall.

It would be madness to do it so close to the election.

Wait until next year.

I'm sorry, for my lousy mood and sounding snarky here, but its half past crisis and ten till doomsday here.
