Rush gets viagra, but they refuse to dispense contraception to women?
Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 08:48 AM by nolies32fouettes
Hypocritical?

They're making it more difficult for women to have access to birth control while at the same time attacking reproductive rights.

Viagra=ok
Birth control= bad

This is more than hypocrisy.

Can we start a campaign? Keep Rush away from the Viagra and women since they're taking away birth control? The last thing we need are little baby Rushes...

1. Unfortunately, there are always women
who want somebody's baby, no matter how despicable that person is. Case in point: the woman that married Ted Bundy while he was on death row and got pregnant by him.

2. They don't accept that analogy
Contraception prevents fertilization of an egg by a sperm, but Viagra does not.

A more direct comparison would be between Viagra and some drug that facilitates female sexual function.

It's hair-splitting, of course, but as long as they frame it that way, we won't get anywhere with Viagra:birth-control arguments.

4. that's true. There is that analogy.
The other analogy is that there are no birth control pills for men.

7. Well, you could look at it this way

True fundies only believe in sex for procreation's sake, in a heterosexual MARRIAGE.

Unless Rush went to the DR to get married and start making babies, he has no need for any sex in his life, thus no need for the Viagra.

He must be CHASTE, according to Dobson, if he is a single male. He must not be a fornicator, according to Falwell, by having sex outside of a Christian marriage. He must abstain, according to Robertson, and only think pure thoughts about his Lord and Savior.

He must resist temptation. Viagra is a tool of the Devil. It entices men to want sex when they aren't married!!!!!!!!!!

That's the way you fight that one.....:)

6. It's not Hypocricy!
They want babies. Viagara gets it up, ergo, a pregnancy.

8. If it is God's will that a man is no longer sexually potent...
then you should not interfere. :sarcasm:

10. It's my understanding is that the great majority of men who use
drugs like viagra do not have erectile dysfunction. They use it to allow themselves to "last" much longer while having sex. It's an indispensable drug in the porn industry.

11. If it is God's will that a man can only get it up for 10 minutes
at a time, etc. etc.
