How about banning Retirement Check burning?

Instead of wasting time trying to ban something that has no effect on Americans' quality of life--flag burning--maybe our elected representatives could consider an amendment or legislation to ban screwing people out of their hard-earned retirement money! You know, like Enron employees, or us.

I seriously doubt the dogs will bite their corporate masters' hands though.

There is nothing like nearing those golden years that are supposed to be great with that retirement/pension, and Social Security to add to the total. Many thought they were doing so well only to find out they have next to nothing and will not even be able to get affordable Rx rates. Are those who commit these crimes against Senior Citizens made to pay? They might get a little jail time out of it, but get to keep their fancy houses, art and whatever other kind of wealth they have amassed. Not wanting to see the likes of Ken Lay and his pals broke our politicians decide that the Seniors can go to hell as Ken is accustomed to nice things and needs them to survive.
On note: has anyone else noticed that the AARP(Bush backer) has been advertising a lot lately? Membership must be down a bit.
