When politicians say they're going to reform something, mentally replace the word "reform" with the word "destroy." This will make what they're really saying crystal clear. Look at where the "reform" of Medicare, education, taxes, welfare, and so many more things have left us. And King George still wants to "reform" social security.

Anytime a politician starts a sentence with "frankly," or "candidly," they're about to lie. These words are being used as synonyms for "honestly," and how many people do you trust who start a sentence with the word "honestly?" (Anytime you see Newt Gingrich, listen for how often he starts a sentence with "frankly," or "candidly.")

Another goody is "there are those who." This was Richard Nixon's favorite. It left you free to fill in your own personal "them." King George has replaced this with "some say," which again leaves you to fill in whoever it is you consider to be unfit to breathe.

Words have meaning and consequences. All of the above terms are designed to mislead, or lie, or induce hatred.

1. Frankly?
I am to the point where every time any politician open his/her mouth and states their views, I start scrutinizing every word.
