Democratic Veterans For Truth, a Proposal.

Why not produce a series of television spots, similar to the ones produced by the notorious Swiftboat Veterans for Truth attack ads against John Kerry's military career, making him out to be a coward, and diverting attention from W's failure to complete his military tenure.

The ads would feature Average American Combat Veterans taking aim at particular politicians on the republican side who are so vehemently in support of this profitable little war they've lied up, Say Dick Cheney for example, "What do we really know about Dick Cheney's military history that so qualifies him to send our soldiers off to his war"?...Oh yeah, Dick Cheney NEVER SERVED IN THE MILITARY, BUT GOT 5 DEFERMENTS and stated that he had other priorities". "Tell that to this soldier right here, who lost a leg or a buddy about priorities Mr. Vice President".

Or a spot listing ALL the chicken-hawk war-pigs by name and face with images of crippled and dead G.I.'s. Too harsh?

All I'm saying is I wish we had the ability to swiftboat these motherfuckers right back with attacks of our own, attacks with as much fire in them as it takes, get down in the dirt and fight it out with these assholes, mano on mano.

I'd also like to see Democrat Veterans stand up and say they support bringing these particular troops home and still fully support them. And I'd also like to see any repubican who calls John Murtha a traitor to be slapped across his fat face.

I will sign up for that...
