yesterday, John Roberts, Dana Bash, Candy Crowley, and Anderson Cooper were talking about how much TROUBLE the dems were in, how BADLY theyr'e getting hammered on the flag, on cut and run

it was a particularly nauseating display of RW talking points, with nary a reference of utterly VENAL and mendacious the pugs' actions continue to be

9. my question is this....
....why are they spending any time at all on flag burning? I mean, when is the last time any of us saw ANYONE burn a flag?

Shouldn't they be addressing issues that the public is interested in? Instead of wasting time on flag burning.....

Plus there was that ridiculous vote on a timetable for leaving Iraq. Remember that non binding thing where they labeled Democrats as cut & run and the very next day General Casey suggested the very same thing!!!!

Apparently, these guys have forgotten that they are there to serve the people. They are simply raising these do-nothing issues to try to improve their own political stature. It's nothing more than a huge waste of time and another waste of taxpayer dollars.

11. This is part of the all-out war by the administration to get the media
in line and doing their bidding again. Too many have actually been reporting news that wasn't Bushco approved lately.

All the things Frist says the media hasn't reported on, I heard about. It's just that the Repubs were all on the wrong side of public opinion.

12. Theyre attacking a free press
I hope the idiots keep this up. Between the attacks on anyone reporting truth and their meltdown against the Times its getting real clear theyll be proposing a new law to restrict the free press in the US. This is going to backfire if we Dems understand how to capitalize on a party thats eroding the constitution and the bill of rights.

14. gratuitous to major media: Getting the message?
All your years of abject bootlicking haven't garnered you one iota of respect from the ruling class running this country into the ground. As far as Frist, Bush, Cheney and the rest of the criminal cabal dicking us over are concerned, you're only as good as your last fawning report.

And now, after all the tax cuts for their wealthy contributors, after all the war, death, destruction and associated mayhem that made for such pretty pictures on your newscasts, after all the cuts in government programs designed to help the less fortunate, and after all their failed policies, when the numbers come down and the people are wising up to their tricks, the Republicans cast their nets far and wide and indict . . . you, the major media for their loss of popularity.

Right now they're threatening the New York Times with litigation and legislation. When will your turn come? Are you getting the message at long last? Have the scales fallen from your eyes that this isn't some kind of cutesy parlor game? People are fucking dying because of the misguided policies of the GOP. There isn't a reasonable "one side says, the other side says" give and take here. One side is murdering people on a huge scale. That isn't a "side," that's a goddam crime.

And they're running out of gullible victims among the populace here and abroad. Now they're setting their sights on you, their good friends in the media. Is the picture getting any clearer for you?
