STICKIE: Falwell Does Not Own Jesus!
Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 12:48 PM by goclark
I have been reading several threads about what Democrats should and shouldn't do about
the Religious Right.

As much as we would like to say that we should keep Religion out of politics ~ the RepubliCONS made it their issue and it has worked to divide this country politically and it has allowed them to push major issues and votes.

Well, as a Christian who has friends of all faiths and many friends with lack of faith, I am sick and tired of the Falwell's of this earth claiming Christianity!

We have allowed this to happen and it has got to stop.

I believe in STICKIES.

Democrats do not know how to use them but RepubliCONS do it very well..." Cut and Run" is their latest. :(

Now, for all those who see it as I do, you are welcome to say what I have empowered my Christian friends and others to say....

STICKIE: FALWELL does NOT own Jesus!
or
as my African American Brothers and Sisters say it...

STICKIE: FALWELL don't own JESUS!

2. Just so's you know... it's Falwell, not Farwell.
Unless you were going for some nickname that I didn't get.

6. Stickie is a short number of words

that gets the point across.

" Cut and Run" is a STICKIE.

It should "stick" to the ears and minds of the listeners.

10. On other discussion boards, it means a post stuck to the top of the forum
by an admin to make sure everyone sees it.

8. He doesn't own him... and doesn't know him very well either
Falwell and his ilk are an abomination. They are using Jesus' name in vain.

11. STICKIE: Falwell uses the name JESUS in vain!
Thanks for a new Stickie!

I like using Falwell as an example because even though GW tries to use the word GOD every time he gets a chance, Falwell is the name that is really linked to these LIES on what Christianity is about ~ he is an abomination and he has mind control over millions.

14. Falwell is a multi-millionaire with government ties.
He is NOT the one who should be speaking in the name of Christianity, he's just as corrupt as everyone on capital hill - that is, the fat ass lobbies to get what he wants, even if it means screwing over the population.

A Christian this man is not. Same can be said for assholes like James Dobson, Pat Robertson, Rick Warren, etc.

Repeat (in bold and caps to make my point): THEY ARE MILLIONAIRES WHO DO NOT PAY TAXES AND HAVE GOVERNMENT TIES!!! They are not in any sense of the word Christian.

15. He may not own Jesus, but he seems to think he has franchise rights.
It's a very lucrative brand in the USA market.
