Did anyone see Bill Frist on CNN saying Dems want to SURRENDER?
Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 01:47 PM by Atman
EDIT: I originally posted that Rick Sans-scrotum made the comments. It wasn't him, it was Bill Fist. Sorry.

Forgive me if this has been discussed, but I didn't see anything about it this morning.

Bill Frist was interviewed my one of the O'Brien twins and he repeatedly said the democrats want to SURRENDER in Iraq. He didn't even use "cut n' run," since apparently that buzz-word has been retired by Rove since General Casey told Bush it was time to CUT N' RUN himself! So now we're on to "SURRENDER." Not surprisingly, Smiles O'Brien didn't even challenge him on it, and allowed him to repeat the word SURRENDER several times.

Must be that liberal media again.

1. How does one 'surrender' while one is occupying a country? To whom?

4. I keep expecting the battery acid in Santorum's veins that he calls blood
to eat its way out any day now. Santorum is vile, as nasty as they come.

The GOP will keep throwing new catch phrases our way until one of them connects. Surrender is just the latest.

And since Miles O'Brien doesn't have the brains or the spine to ask serious questions, I'll do it for him: What ever became of that residency issue, Rick? Also, did you ever resolve that problem with your charity, that was spending a higher percentage on expenses than allowed by law?

Santorum is a crook.

5. Exactly. To whom are we going to surrender?
What an asinine comment by Frist.

I keep wanting to shout at those who yammer about "the enemy" - DEFINE the enemy! Who are they talking about? Who is this specific enemy?

Reclaim the Issues - "Occupation, Not War"
by Thom Hartmann

Every time the media - or a Democrat - uses the phrase "War in Iraq" they are promoting one of Karl Rove's most potent Republican Party frames.

There is no longer a war against Iraq.

It ended in May of 2003, when George W. Bush stood below a "Mission Accomplished" sign aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and correctly declared that we had "victoriously" defeated the Iraqi army and overthrown their government.

Our military machine is tremendously good at fighting wars - blowing up infrastructure, killing opposing armies, and toppling governments. We did that successfully in Iraq, in a matter of a few weeks. We destroyed their army, wiped out their air defenses, devastated their Republican Guard, seized their capitol, arrested their leaders, and took control of their government. We won the war. It's over.

What we have now is an occupation of Iraq.

The occupation began when the war ended, and continues to this day. According to our own Pentagon estimates, at least ninety five percent of those attacking our soldiers are Iraqi civilians who view themselves as anti-occupation fighters. And last week both the Defense Minister and the Vice President of Iraq asked us for a specific date on which the occupation would end.

6. I hope Frist's seat will be filled by Ford (D) in a few months
that would be a huge improvement.
