Last weekend I paid $2.53/gallon for gas.

8. And we have a winner!
Yep, just before every holiday gas goes up. Sort of a pre-emptive strike against anticipated demand.

I am so glad our military is protecting the big oil interests world-wide.

10. In the 60s there were hundreds of oil companies... gas was $.30/gal
Now there are five.
When I saw the heads of the companies testify before congress earlier this year, I knew it wasn't the first time they were all in the same room together.

Well stand by, because most of our food is now grown and produced by....five companies, and I'm sure they've been taking notes.

The Republican "happy days" will be here again when only the successful will be able to eat steak. Sean Hannity will be in his glory.

11. Actually, I Doubt They Usually Talk to Each Other
It's just of these unspoken agreements that materializes. That and the fluctuations in the price of crude oil that affects all companies.

But it makes you wonder about the point of anti-trust laws when this kind thing can happen without any formal deal taking place.

12. I won't tell you they are aren't...
...because I have been saying it for quite some time now.

Their excuse will be "the price of oil" and "that oil companies cannot be held responsible for that."
