Winners are supposed to receive something...and so far we are losing our freedoms, global respect, and have a government in literal chaos, as well as having been made more vulnerable to attack thanks to the thugs in charge.

So...what DO we win?

Just read the article where GeorgieBoy stated AGAIN today that, "We're wining."

Just WTF does that mean?????

What an asswipe

1. I guess we get a gold star. No, wait, the mothers of the dead soldiers
get those.

I guess we get to run around in circles with our index fingers in the air, shouting "we're number 1!"

stop sitting on their thumbs and can hold those up in the air.... Gee! Just like Lyndie England! Wow! :wow:

And maybe...just maybe.. maybe something will happen to wake up those who believe * can do no wrong, and we can hear that loud popping sound when they all pull their heads out of their asses at the same time.

can't afford to live on what their minimum-wage jobs pay.

2. And you can't fight a "war" on terrorism anyway...
It's the jingoistic blather of the small-minded.

11. That's what I wrote to Harry Reid back in 2002
when I was still living in NV. He wrote back that it's an important war. Seems he's changed his tune a little bit since then.

When he sent me that reply, I lost complete respect for him.

4. Win the war on terror?
The only way we can win that is if we kill every one who is a terrorist, or anybody who might someday become a terrorist, or anybody who might teach children how to become terrorists. In other words, we would have to preempitively kill everybody.

If we win the Iraq War, I'm sure there'll be some ceremony on a battleship somewhere and all the terrorists will be there in their formal white tie and tails to hand over their swords.

6. If we win, we'll get our very own...
...police state, right here at home. Of course, we'll get that if we lose too, so it isn't much of a prize.

In reality, the whole idea is that we never win - or lose. The war will just go on and on and on, and our freedoms will diminish incrementally, until we're exactly where our government wants us to be: powerless, insecure and afraid.

As Orwell said, "the future is a boot stamping on a human face, forever."

7. What we get is
For 'liberating' Afghanistan from Terrorism, we've freed up the Afgani's to return to 100% heroin production which the CIA will exploit to it's fullest.
For 'Liberating' Iraq, We've allowed the Iraqi's to hold on to their large oil supplies, while our big oil companies can profit obscenely
by keeping their oil off the market. Of course, somewhere down the road we'll help them turn on the spicket once again and allow them to keep a few pennies on the dollar.
Isn't America Great?

8. He means that he's won the power to make or contradict law by Exec fiat
Edited on Wed Jun-28-06 05:46 PM by kenny blankenship
He means that the people have through their representatives surrendered their civil liberties in principle--whenever he, the Decisionator, decides some person is of interest, for reasons the Decisionator is not obliged to disclose to Congress, or the Supreme Court or anybody, then that person (or unperson) has no Constitutional rights to anything, not counsel, nor due process, not a trial, not even life itself.

He means that the War which will never end, goes on, but that you must not get tired of it. You must not despair although the war goes on forever without victory but rather you must regard your endless and bottomless sacrifice as "winning" (because you must continually renew your submission to him, and because if you weren't persuaded into thinking you were winning, this situation would feel A LOT like losing.)

12. Nothing unless you are a war profiteer
War is a Racket.

If you are a Bush or a Cheney your portfolio will do very well on this war.

If you are Isreal your place as the regional super power is cemented.

If you are Exxon or Shell your profits will triple.

If you are a solider you'll be maimed for life, be killed, or suffer emotional wounds for the rest of your life.

If you are a tax payer you'll foot the 1.5 Trillion bill.
