Goldwater Wants Border Tent City!
On Monday, Arizona’s Don Goldwater made the following statement at a statewide candidates forum in Phoenix:

“We need to go after the businesses that flagrantly violate the law, and we need to prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, and if the illegal aliens that we capture and prosecute under the judicial system it is my intention to use federal funds, homeland security funds, and state funds to work with the local Sheriffs down on the border to build a tent city down on the border to house those non-violent convicted felons that are felons down on the border and use them like Sheriff Joe Arpaio and the State of Arizona uses their inmate labor to clean up the desert, fix the ranches that they destroyed, and help build a wall down on the border.

4. that's where sheriff joe keeps prisoners -- in tents even when it's
118. he says if our troops in iraq can do it -- then so can the prisoners.

6. he's been doing it for years. no one has died. he vacated
space in one of the air conditioned jails last year to make room for animals displaced from katrina. put the guys in the tents. he's a little radical, but he loves animals. he says "prison is a place you don't want to be". i would be afraid to even smoke a joint living in this state. lol

he's also spent a few nights in tent city himself to show it's not that bad. i know i don't wanna be there.
