Alright, I've had more than enough of the new attacks on the media.
This morning I heard another fuckwit who takes talking points from Karl Rove say that the media was hurting our nation's national security. Hell, I heard about 10 Repuke fuckwits say that today.

I'm getting really fucking sick of this. What was the "damage" that has been done to our security? Those doing the interviewing, when they come upon this fuckwittery, have thus far only raised the point that the terrorists would be pretty stupid if they didn't suspect their finances could be being watched already. The NY Times didn't tell them anything new.

That's not my point though, Repukes. Karl, Ann- I'm asking you to enumerate exactly what the terrorists will be doing differently, now that they "know" (even though they don't "know"), that will make our country more susceptible to a terrorist attack. THAT is where you're wrong- terrorists' knowledge of the program simply doesn't hurt us. In fact, the NY Times just did Bush's job for him.

Because, the reality is that if the NY Times' article stops terrorists from using traditional channels to transfer money between themselves, we have just HURT them. The fear their knowledge of the program put into them would be putting a financial, logistical strain on them. What are they going to do if they stop using banks? Only transfer money in duffel bags, person to person? Is Osama going to come to the United States and personally deliver funding to his minions, now? Repukes, maybe you don't get this, but if the terrorists don't get the money they need, it makes it more difficult, not less difficult, for them to hurt us.

On the other hand, maybe the terrorists didn't take the story seriously, dismissing the program as no kind of threat- which wouldn't surprise me. In that case, the neocons would still be ired at the exposure of their incompetence. But they'd obviously be calling people traitors for nothing..... LOL so what's new?

No, Repukes- the fact is that the NY Times was only doing what YOU were supposed to be doing all along: disrupting the terrorists financing structure and protecting Americans. So, enough of the fuckwittery and false patriotism. You're a bunch of fucking morons.

1. Dems need to mention the fact that less than 10% of the
shipping containers entering this country are scanned or checked out the way they should be.... now THAT is hurting national security, in no uncertain terms.

2. I understand your anger, however,
the repukes have learned that they no longer have to give sources, tell the truth or back up anything they say. The sheeples eat it up and the truth is left cleaning up the aftermath.

5. What gets me.....
is that they wait until weeks after we first heard about widespread domestic warrant-less spying to try to spin this into some sort of outrage. If they'd done it right after the phone tapping was revealed, they might at least not look like idiots. Obviously, someone belatedly decided Bushco needed to go on the offensive.

This is an excuse for Bushco to declare open war on the "Liberal Media" (notice they ignore the fact that the Wall Street Journal printed the same info), which, considering the pass Bush has been given by the press for the last 5 years, seems like shooting themselves in the foot. I've said it many times before: At some point these guys started to believe their own bullshit. They really believe the majority of Americans like them (polls, be damned) rather than realizing that if people got decent information from the media, the whole Neocon cabal would be toast.

So, go ahead and demon-ize the Press, Bushco. Piss them all off, until they bow down to you no more.

What, they're not going to use PHONES, now? And this is somehow bad for us?

I mean, other than the ridiculous invasion of our privacy, as American citizens.

7.  The attacks on the media isn't about terrorists finances story.
I think Rove is just trying scary them so he can make the media
set on other story that haven't come out yet.

8. Incredible display of party discipline
Its absolutely stunning. KKKarl flips a switch and suddenly there are dozens and dozens of Republicans all saying the same stupid inane thing and its all over television and the press. Not one Republican speaks out in opposition to the party line.

Sometimes I wish Democrats could coordinate a message like that once in a while.
