I'm also using the Google ad program on my own site. The TOS is pretty clear about soliticing clicks, or even pointing out the ads. Google has a whole department that spends its time weeding out the "fraudulent" clicks by people just trying to make some money for their favorite site. I'm not saying that's whay you're doing, (in fact, I'm not too sure what your post was actually saying at all!) but Google's algorythms are pretty sharp at finding repeat clickers who never actually buy anything, or clicks that don't stay at the resulting site long enough to actually be legitimately looking for something. Please, to others reading...DON'T click on the Google ads thinking you're just sending a few cents DU's way. It will backfire, and may ultimately cost DU money.

If you see an ad you're genuinely interested in, by all means, click it! But please don't click "just to help out." It won't.

I am interested in the item. I refuse to be dishonest about this as my star will bear me out.

My post was more to let others know, in case they get the idea that by randomly clicking on ads that they'll somehow be helping out DU. No sweat, Madokie. My star is in the shop for polishing right now, btw. It should be re-hung soon.
