If someone 5 years ago had predicted all the bullshit that has gone down, most Americans wouldn't have believed it. It would have been seen as absurd, although many of us predicted it almost exactly, in what was then called wild speculation and hyperbole.

Just look at your country now, 5 years after 9-11 and just roll it around in your head and try to let the chilling reality sink in.

How low we have fallen, how low will be go?

2. I was just thinking that the other day...
It took only 5 years to bring a country that had the potential to be the greatest on Earth to ruins.

I weep for this country.

3. Not to blow my own trumpet, because I'm sure...
...many other people had the same thought, but my reaction to 9/11 was, "Well, that's all the excuse the fascists will need to tighten their grip on us all."

5. Sometimes it takes
a country to fall this far before people realize what they had, to quote from The hunt for Red October Sean Connery " A little Revelution is a good thing now and then"

Years ago...

The original extreme right tin foil hat crowd from Wisconsin were right..just that it wasn't the leftists taking over...it was corporatists.

On edit...watch the conservative trolls jump on this....

8. I'm only surprised and disappointed...
that Americans have been so complacent. I've lost a lot of faith in my fellow Americans, and almost have a contempt for the stupidity and apathy rampant in our country's population. However, I think most of us predicted that Bush II would find an excuse to continue the war in the Gulf, and that he would piss all over The Constitution and run this country into the ground, but not how most Americans would allow this all to happen.

Concisely predicted our current state back in 2000 when it covered the elections.

More on the money than anything the bible code or Nostradamus every dreamed of!

It's so accurate it's spooky.

Hope you all can find it on the net. it's still up but I don't have the url handy......

edit: "The dark cloud of peace and prosperity is finally over" is the approximate headline?
