1. Why do people live near Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania?
The one question that pissed me off last year is why do you live there?

4. I don't believe there is anywhere on the planet
where humans are 100% safe from Mother Nature.

6. Any time anything happense even remotely close to NY, DC, or LA, look out
because its all you're going to hear about.

115 degrees in AZ, and all you hear about is the "heat wave" in NYC, because they've had two 90 degree days in a row.

18 inches of snow overnight in MN, but everyone is talking about the snowstorm that blew through DC and dropped 5 inches in three days.

A storm tears through KS, drops 4 tornadoes, causes flash floods, and does millions of dollars in damage across the state from strong winds and hail. But I turn on CNN and the first thing I hear is how New Yorkers might be getting some rain in the next few days.

The media only really cares about areas where they are located.

The people in the rest of the country are used to it.

7. The flooding in the east is affecting more people
It's also why the flooding we've had here in the southwest isn't getting much national press. Flash floods have caused a lot of damage here in the last week, but they're over quickly and haven't depopulated any towns. There's just a lot of cleanup and parts of some towns out here resemble the Ninth Ward, minus the mold.

However, our population is relatively sparse so I wouldn't expect the same coverage as the densely populated northeast is getting.
