the health of Tony Snow
Watching his conference today, I noted a couple of things. First, he is a far better communicator at giving not evn an inch than the smirky jerk he replaced. He manages to say nothing or to spin a bad facat favorably much better than his predecessor.
Second, he looks ill. His eyes are sunken, his pallor is striking and his face looks tired, weak and as though his body is falling apart.
Anyone else notice that he looks not 100% healthy? Anyone know anything about his health history?

6. It's a shitty job, even in the best of circumstances
And these circumstances are not the best.

I'm guessing he's butting up against a little REALITY. Like, Rove and Company are NOT cutting him in on all the important meetings he thought he'd get to go to....he's discovering that he's nothing more than a mouthpiece with lousy, long hours.

10. I noticed he's dyed his hair darker.
Maybe that's what you're seeing. I've also noticed a vacent, hollow look in his eyes since he sold his soul to Bushco.

11. Colon cancer in 2005
It takes quite a while to recover from the surgery and chemo. I was surprised he wanted to take on the stress of the WH job so soon after treatment. I'm sure it's very stressful lying through his teeth all day.

13. He had colon cancer, and we shouldn't make light of it
His mother died of it when he was 18, and he had surgery and chemotherapy
for it himself, last year.

<snip>
After Snow was diagnosed with colon cancer a year ago last February -- the same disease that killed his mother when he was 18 -- his doctors refashioned his small intestine to function as a colon.
<snip>

Everything I have read indicates he is in good health now. I'm no fan, but don't wish ill health on anyone.

16. Snow looks sick and I've said it from day one.
The eyes will give away illness every time.

If I had cancer, chemo, and was trying to recover, I would put my feet up and enjoy my life by removing all manageable stresses. I certainly would not let a parasite like Bush suck the life out of me.

17. No fooling
He is a conservative but he has not been a rah rah Bushie, now he is being eaten by the bullshit he has to spew. His body may be loosing the will to resist. My grandfather dies of cancer and my mother is a survivor. I pray that he stays in remission.
