Fuck you John McCain!
Senator, John McCain, was the deciding vote AGAINST Internet freedom
during a key vote yesterday in the Senate Commerce Committee.

The committee voted 11 to 11 on the Snowe/Dorgan proposal to preserve Net
Neutrality--one vote shy of passage. Your senator voted to let companies
like AT&T put tollbooths on the Internet and gain more control over what
you see and do online. The fight to preserve the free and open
Internet now moves to the full Senate.

Please call Sen. McCain today and say "shame on you" for opposing the
Snowe-Dorgan Internet freedom proposal. Tell him to oppose any bill in
the full Senate that doesn't protect Net Neutrality. Here is the number:

Senator John McCain
Phone: 202-224-2235

Let's see, ask AT&T* to hand over customer phone records by the millions in violation of the Constitution, then write legislation that would let AT&T control the internet.

Quid pro quo anyone?

7. McCain wants to be president and will kiss the ass of fundies,
wingnuts, and he'll even go down on the administrators of Bob Jones University if asked to.

Further, we've given him a pass because he agrees with us on perhaps one out of ten issues. But make no mistake about it. He's a conservative. It's just recently that he's become a radical conservative because he wants that presidential nomination so badly.

In closing, let me congratulate you on summing up the feelings of many here with your "Fuck you John McCain!" It's elegant and it follows Shakespeare's saying that "Brevity is the soul of wit."

36. He's a rebel and he'll never ever be - any good
See the way he walks down the street
Watch the way he shuffles his feet
Oh how he holds his head high
When he goes walking by-y-y-y-y-y
He's my guy-uy
When he holds my hand I'm so proud
'Cos he's not just one of the crowd
My babe he's always the one
To try the things they've never done
and just because of that they say-ay!

He's a rebel and he'll never ever be - any good
He's a rebel 'cos he never ever does - what he should
Well just because he doesn't do what - everybody else does
That's no reason why I can't give him all my love

He’s always good to me - always treats me tenderly
He's not a rebel, no-no-no
He's not a rebel, no-no-no - to me-e

If they don't like him that way
They won't like me after today
I'll be standing right by his side - when they say

He's a rebel and he'll never ever be - any good
He's a rebel 'cos he never ever does - what he should
Well just because he doesn't do what - everybody else does
That's no reason why - we can't share our love

He is always good to me – good to him I’ll try to be
’Cos he's not a rebel, no-no-no
He's not a rebel, no-no-no - to me
(Oh he's not a rebel - no-no-no)
(he's not a rebel - no-no-no-no-no)
(he's not a rebel - no-no-no)
(he's not a rebel - no-no-no)

21. Let's not forget the boost he got from the MSM in 2000.
Just as Gore was demonized, McCain was sainted. Someone (I believe it was Russert or Howard Fineman) actually shared exit polling data with him during the primaries. Talk about drinking the KoolAid.

See dailyhowler.com for details on the shameful boosting of McCain by the MSM. Any claim that the MSM is fair or balanced is joke!

why? because if he gets the nomination, the media will fall all over themselves, kissing his cancer ridden ass, and, once again, help DESTROY whoever the dems put up

our only hope, ironically, is for the right wing of the fascist part to rise up and defeat him in the primaries

28. More evidence that MSM brainwashing works.
Bob Somerby recently said that no matter who the Dem nominee is, none can defeat McCain *unless* the MSM is forced to change it's slavishly pro-McCain scripts. I also found this representative quote:

The pundits will never stop selling McCain. And oh yes—this time around, it might work. After seven long years of pimping McCain—and with the bar now set so low—these empty vessels may get their way in the 2008 White House race.

http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh051206.shtml

You should assume there is a bias in anything you hear from the MSM on politics. It is not *partisan* bias, it is *personal* bias. In 2000, they decided Gore was the smartest kid in the class and talked too much about nerdy issues like global warming, so they demonized him.

McCain, on the other hand, sat on the back of the "Straight Talk Express" and gossiped with them about his adulterous past and fed them hot donuts. So they sainted him. They decided his "charm" was "authentic," while someone who talked about real issues honestly (our candidate) was "inauthentic." The said it over and over and over.

As a former prosecutor, I can tell you that juries are not as easily persuaded by strong evidence or compelling arguments as they are by repetition. Anybody aware of any "liberal bias" in today's MSM? Yet that theme is repeated constantly and people believe it. We have to take this head on.

There is no war in Iraq. It's an occupation.

There is no war on terror, any more than there is a real war on drugs or a real war on poverty. It is rhetoric that confuses the issue.

Look at how they used "WMD," another red herring, to convince people that poison gas (WWI technology)is a legitimate cause to invade a country!!

Tell people about McCain's awful environmental record (below 20% lifetime LCV rating), tell them about his backing Bush on SS privatization, about his dishonest backing of Bush on the invasion and occupation of Iraq, about his flip-flop on federal funding of presidential candidates, his pretensions on the environment and campaign finance reform, on his flip-flop on the confederate flag in South Carolina. It goes on and on. It's Straight BS. Please let's get the word out.

38. Here's some more on McCain and the environment.
He pretended to be an environmentalist. It was part of his moderates-in-New-Hampshire 2000 strategy. Remember how Nader called Gore an environmental "poseur?" True of McCain, but not Gore.

McCain likes to recall the legacy of Teddy Roosevelt when discussing the environment, much the way he calls the GOP the party of Abraham Lincoln when addressing race. But his record is too mixed to place him in Roosevelt's class. When it comes to green issues, he's generally perceived as good for Arizona and the national park system, but bad for the rest of the country.

After polls showed that the GOP suffered in the 1996 elections as a result of the fact that 55 percent of Republicans didn't trust their party on environmental issues, McCain publicly attempted to soften the party's anti-green reputation. In a New York Times environmental call to arms,
McCain wrote: "We need to assure the public that in the 105th Congress the Republican environmental agenda will consist of more than coining new epithets for environmental extremists or offering banal symbolic gestures."
