and if the Democrats in Congress come out against it, then the GOP will use that against them..the same old same old, "not serious about national security"

but of course it's all they've got. I too believe a republican congress will rubber-stamp what Bush is already doing - so go ahead, bring it on. The majority of Americans are not with you anymore Bush.

law and to do something about it. I told him not to give * a pass and vote to let him do what SCOTUS said he is currently doing illegally. I used the "I" word. I feel pretty good right now. Think I'll call my Senators.

Bush will ask Congress to give him the authority to use military tribunals.

All but a handful of Repubs will vote for it.

Enough Dems will vote for it to get people mad at them just like they were mad at them for not fillibustering Alito.

The vote will be scheduled to be just a little before the mid-term elections.
