Dems can GAIN from court decision on remapping districts ->
nice article in today's LA Times about the possible ways dems could benefit from the supreme court ruling in the texas
redistricting case.

experts say dems could create 5 new house seats and seriously weaken seats now held by the repubs, all through redistricting in
states controlled by dems legislators. this could start as early as next year and be in full swing in time for the 2008 elections.
any dems gains this year could be enhanced by new dems safe seats.

biggest obstacle to all this is internal division and strife not related to anything republicans are doing.

SADLY, there are some dems who think dems shouldnt be doing this kind of thing and would rather let the repubs run the country into
the ground, just like they let the terrorists blast the world trade center towers into the ground.

1. This decision makes state legislative races very important
since in most states they will be the ones who decide when to redistrict and approve the redistricting plans. Be sure to get involved in your local legislative races.
