I thought I was dreaming - O'Loofah interviewed John Kerry last night
couldn't sleep, and flipping thru channels at about 4 a.m. and stumbled upon it.

O'Reilly needs to work on his "interviewing" skills.

What an accusatory and combative freak.

Here's the link to both the transcript and the video: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,201705,00.html

Kerry was relaxed, informative and completely in command.

1. I love your description of Bill O'Reilly, CatWoman. Just exactly
right. You nailed every nail smackdab on the head and drove it into his rotting coffin.

3. I read it and was a bit surprised
and pleased that Senator Kerry handled himself so well, coming off intelligent and not cornered. He was straight, and while I don't much like O'Reilly, Kerry's straight-talk seemed to make him shift from a readiness to insult and bully to a greater engagement in the answers to his questions. I'm also pleased that Kerry was willing to go on that show and let the chips fall. Well done, Senator Kerry! And you, O'Reilly, you get at least a passing grade from me for asking reasonably intelligent questions.

4. Kerrys makeup
Maybe someone from fox news did the makeup for kerry. He had black circles under his eyes and looked like Alice Cooper. I think they purposely made him look bad.

10. I don't think he looked bad. The lighting wasn't the best though.
That I am sure fox did on purpose.

14. Agreed.
Kerry was calm, confident, and composed. The lighting wasn't all that great, but I think he presented himself very well.

6. I'm sorry ; that was the only place I could find the video and transcript
we should be thankful they didn't try to make us pay for it.

8. I was kidding - thanks for pointing us to it,
even if it means driving Fox's website hits up.

Oddly, we have Fox in the UK too and it's exactly the same as what you get in the States, except obviously we're 5 hours ahead of the US east coast so, for example, Fox's early morning crap is on here at lunchtime. I've only ever seen a tiny snippets of Fox News programs, but what I've seen is abysmal and laughable in equal measure. It leaves me scratching my head and wondering who in the UK actually watches Fox.

We get O'Reilly and Hannity too, but they're on either very, very early in the morning or very late at night. They're still virtually unknown in the UK, so I doubt their viewing figures are anything to write home about.

7. O'reilly reminds me of the typical school yard bully
Edited on Fri Jun-30-06 11:39 AM by MemphisTiger
when confronted he can't handle it, like when he was sued for sexual harassment and his soft-core porn novels he writes. He gets all red in the face and starts scraming like a little girl. Hannity may be a pompous putz but he handles himself much better than O'lielly.

13. I particularly like the way Kerry
didn't let O'Reilly talk over him. He very calmly continued to speak and didn't let Loofah Man interrupt him. If O'Reilly had acted like he usually does, he would have come off like the fool and bully he is. In this instance, it appeared that he realized that Kerry is so much more composed and intelligent than he is, so he toned it down a bit.

That's my take on it anyway. I've never actually watched O'Reilly's show all the way through, just clips online.

9. Does that mean Kerry has guts to risk the sniping to follow?
