What will you do with the "Leap Second"?
Just enough time to swallow another gulp of champagne. Just enough time to think "Peace". I plan to use it for giving my dog a treat. She can eat it in one second. Any thoughts?

1. Be faster than Al Bundy.
I can't believe how this is being ramped up so frequently as 'news'. Even 'breaking news'; this leap second has been known for some time. (so google news can give it a rest too...)

13. Catch an extra second of sleep.
I haven't stayed up to ring in the new year in more than a decade. This year, being out in a rural area, I'm hoping to avoid being jarred out of bed by all of the partiers shooting off their guns at midnight.

15. That gives me an extra second to give birth in 2005
and gain for the year an extra tax deduction. Otherwise, our little pumpkin joy may be a New Year's surprise. Or I could just freaking stay pregnant forever! lol

the leap second occurs at midnight GMT. So in the US, it's at 7 pm on the East coast, and at 4 pm on the West coast. Not at midnight. (wouldn't want you to squander the wrong second...)
