Every time I have the great displeasure of seeing this clown he still looks half messed up or hung over. How have his handlers managed to keep the drinking stories from leaking. You know when he cuts his face, etc. that can all be attributed to alcohol. I have been sober for many years now but at one time I had a real problem with booze. My hands, legs and face were continually beat up, bruised and scraped. Falls, altercations you name it..it happened. Bu$h is a drunk in IMHO.

1. It sure looks like he is.
Why wouldn't he? Of all presidents, he's the ultimate in doing whatever he feels like. Talk about your ultimate enablers. He's surrounded by them, sworn to secrecy.

2. I Know What You Mean

I quit 9 years ago after all the bad shit you can imagine. Ankle monitors don't go well with me.

Every time I see him on TV I can see it. That man hasn't quit drinking. Take it for someone who knows what a drunk looks and sounds like.

There may not be any fraternity among us old drunks but we can sure as hell spot one another from a mile away. He's drinkin'.

when the Chimp is wasted. Most telling signs are his sunken cheeks and slurred speech. The Cocaine induced jaw grinding is an other dead give-away. If his Presidency is not toast soon, his physical and moral health sure is and is prime for a mighty fall.

Remember Mr. Chimp - You can't bullshit a bullshitter and Wow - you are so full of shit the whole world smells the reek of what you have turned our country in to.

8. "How have his handlers managed ....

They're loyal cronies. He's been managed like a star on a binge in the old days of Hollywood. No one but a small inner circle knew until later.

It would certainly explain his haggard look at times and the fact that he falls off every conveyance with wheels he gets near. DUH-bya on a tractor must be a security nightmare.

12. This Is Just A Guess
Edited on Thu Dec-29-05 10:49 PM by ThomWV
Well, just take a look at how, when, and where we see him. Its always staged - absolutly always. But then there is this.

Drunks don't sleep. If you're a drunk you don't know that, but you don't sleep. What looks like sleep is simply unconsciousness caused by the poisioning. Interestingly enough it doesn't last long. So that thing drunks are doing that looks like sleep only takes up a few hours a night. You ever notice how many drunks stay up late and get up early? Any real drunk can tell you what its like to be hungover and wired at 5 AM. Its a million little heart attacks all going on at once.

Bush gets up early but we are told that its lights out at 9:00. My guess is that there's some serious midnight oil being burned next to the liquor cabinet once nobodys likely to pound on the door.

Lights out at nine, nail it until midnight, the alarm rings at 5, a hot shower and all that shows is sunken eyes and morning shakes for the next day. Shit, there's 9 million guys doing exactly the same thing all over the country right this night.

11. You're right.
I know some alcoholics... one of them fell and twisted her ankle (inside her own apartment) the other night. She was crocked, and was trying to get her dead-drunk significant other into bed (from where he'd passed out in a chair.)

I think there's even more in *'s case, though. I think he is suffering from dementia. I think this dementia probably was caused by extreme, continuous, heavy drinking. He says he used to drink like that.

I'm no doctor, but from everything I've ever heard/read on the subject, such dementia is irreversible.

And now I'll say something that some may consider insensitive: why the hell hasn't his liver given out? I've known an alcoholic who was told by her doctor that ONE more drink could literally kill her, b/c she had cirrhosis. (Sadly, the day finally came when she took a prescription tranquilizer--a mild one--b/c she wanted something and didn't want to drink, and that was what eventually killed her. The sight of someone dying from liver failure is HORRIBLE. She was 39.)

And I'll be honest with you: the day I see a trace of yellow in Shrub's complexion is the day I'll start to have hope for America again.

13. the liver is the one organ
that has the ability to regenerate or fix the damage. He probably was abstinent for some time and the healing during that time has helped.

19. I don't know about that.
Look at the people who've had to wait for liver transplants. And I can't forget the remark I read by a doctor in a diet book (it was the "Sugarbusters" book, which was written by two doctors): "when the liver goes, it's adios, amigo!"

I mean, I don't think cirrhosis can be reversed. Perhaps it can be arrested. I do know that scar tissue can form on the liver due to cirrhosis, and the more scar tissue, the less function the liver has.

14. To me outside of the obvious physical attributes
that drunks have....skin irregularities, sunken eyes, slack jaw, shakes, burns, cuts and bruises...(they)have an unmistakable odor about them. Not the obvious alcohol, mouth freshener, cigarette and heavy Cologne smell but an odor I can always detect in drunks. My own eating habits were just horrible..caused by a quart a day addiction. There were many times when I would "forget" to eat for long periods of time. May cause the odor I'm talking about.

15. Sorry,
but I think it is his low IQ. If you are really drinking heavily it is impossible to hide. I lived with an alcoholic for 25 years. This person thought it was a huge secret but everyone knew. Colleagues at work, friends, family and neighbors, they all knew. Chimpey's problem is that he lacks social skills and has a simple mind......just my opinion.

16. Someone posted a link from right before the Nov. election this year
of some video with him endorsing the guy from Virginia, I think.

He sounded seerrrrioooushhllly slllllllllllllooooooshed.

Fuck yeah, I think he's fallen off the wagon. Would explain the weird, holed up, 'rat in a drain ditch' behavior, too.
