Maybe it's not Cheney who's in charge

It just hit me. With all this stuff about domestic intelligence gathering, the war in Iraq, etc., who's really pulling the strings? Many of us have assumed Cheney. Sure, Cheney is probably doing most of the groundwork, but who's really behind all this? Maybe we should look no further than Bushie's daddy. Why not? The man spent his career in the intelligence business, and Cheney was one of his senior staffers. He gets his son elected, gets him to finish his job in Iraq, and institutes the most comprehensive domestic intelligence program the country has ever seen. Bushie Sr hasn't exactly been keeping a low profile, hanging out with his newfound buddy Bill Clinton (probably to stay closer to the center of attention, and not be out of the loop).

How much do you want to bet that Bush Sr has been using Clinton to his own gain this whole time? That perhaps Bush was doing some spy jobs of his own?

I think the country's actually being run by a select group of corporate elite who sit on the boards that Poppy moves on behalf of.

the right trail, so far as I can see. I think this is a group of people who have shared interests and plenty of money to see that these interests are protected. If you start checking names on SourceWatch.org, you will see the ingrown nature of the people controlling us. I do not minimize Dick-head as a prime part of this group-mind, nor Poppy, either, although Poppy seems not nearly as energetic as he used to be.

it was believed that Donald Rumsfeld was running the country. I think maybe it's both. Dick is running part of it and Rumsfeld the other part. I don't think it's a friendly partnership either. It seems both have a death grip on their part of the power.
