America's Secret War Sexual Assault
http://www.lacitybeat.com/article.php?id=4677&IssueNum=182

At a forum held earlier this month at Pasadena City College, women vets of the U.S. military went public with their own personal stories to raise awareness of the least-acknowledged casualties of the wars in the Middle East: rapes of U.S. servicewomen by their soldiers.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs records obtained by CityBeat shows that more than 20 percent of female veterans who used VA health care services nationwide between Oct.2001 and Sept.2005 - that's nearly 44,000 women -reported being victims of sexual assault or harassment, sometimes by fellow service members.

From Me anyone who does this should be locked up for life. As a former Soldier I say this these men are cowards who do this. This is not my military that I served in. Yes I am angry.

1. As well you should be
rape and sexual harrassment - how does this help keep up morale? How is this showing any form of discipline or respect?

2. Unfortunately, it was/is your military.
This has *always* been the reality.

Two things different now--it's getting more awareness, and there are more women in the military.

3. It really freaked me out.
I couldn't believe it! Call me naive, there weren't any women in unit's I served in, but still.

4. I sent this to a friend in the leadership office
Here is my I idea . When this happens and a court finds it true. How about 60 years with no parole in a military prison. Any thoughts
