US unveils new citizenship test
the test will center on the principles of democracy rather then American history. Wonder if it will include any questions on government wiretaps.

1. Oh LORDY...I can see trouble ahead
Why does the United States have three branches of government?
One for the Monkey, and TWO for him to POOP ON!!!!

Name two rights that are only for US citizens
Right Turn on Red, and Right to Party.

Name two cabinet-level positions
Cabinet door open, and cabinet door closed!

Name one important idea found in the Declaration of Independence
July 4th!!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmm, hotdogs, fireworks!!!!!

What does the Constitution do?
Wipes the feces from the Monkey's ass, apparently.....

Seriously, I think this is a shitty idea. If they want people to have mandatory civics classes, give them to them as a function of the process. And give them quizzes that determine their level of understanding, and help them if they're having trouble. Use the quizzes as a tool to ensure you are reaching them, not as a punishment or a hurdle to pass before they can become citizens.

We all know that some people can take tests and not understand jackshit about what they are parroting, and others can understand concepts but are poor at tests. Far better to give them the material in small classes with real discussions, not come up with esoteric questions designed to crap on the less educated and the concrete thinkers and that serve as a barrier to citizenship.

2. The new test looks much better
Some of the older questions were simply historical triva; it's gratifying to see the test move towards more of the idea of democracy.
