Have you seen retaliation against you since the election?
Anyone sublty retaliating against you for being right about your stance against Bushco?
Just curious because the freepers I work with are doing things to make my job harder and wondering if
anyone else is seeing this .

1. No
People I work with realize I was right, except for a few, and they cannot combat my superior intellect. Ok, maybe I am not that smart, but they sure don't argue with me. Besides that, the owner of the corporation I work for has contributed money to Dems in the past.

2. Most of the Republicans I know are very subdued.
I think that some of them are actually relieved that Democrats will take the heat for a while.

3. Not at all. But then, I'm six-four and fairly intimidating-looking.
Not ONE rightwinger has given me any crap.

4. for the 1st time in 18 years we are not invited to a hard core repub Xmas party tonight
Edited on Sat Dec-02-06 08:25 PM by vote 4 democracy
This is a group that has gloated about how the "elitist" Dems don't have the charisma or integrity to win -(which has almost made me choke on my tongue) but we've just said things like "time will tell who has the integrity and the experience to govern well" . . . and it has. We've only seen them once a year for the last few years because they live further away . . . but my gut feeling is they're pretty embarrassed right about now.

edited for grammar

9. That party will
probably be more like a wake and I'm not talking about the festive Irish wakes I went to as a kid.

I doubt they are embarrassed, though. Probably speechless since they never really expected this to happen.

11. I'm afraid they were pretty clear that they thought we were just too dim
or immoral to realize how great he was and now . . . it appears the shoe is on the other foot.

6. My RW DBF apears to have thrown in the towel on our relationship.
In the few months leading up to the election he was getting downright ill-tempered and snarky. Haven't heard from him in a couple of months. I think his head finally exploded and he blamed me.

Oh, well..........it was nice while it lasted.

7. No, I live by
San Francisco. It's been quite joyful here.

Spent election day in NYC and it was joyful there, too. :-)

12. I'm getting some tacky e-mail forwards lately...
I'm leaving the typing style as is:

Send the
ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD this year.

As they are
working so very hard to get rid of the "CHRISTMAS" part of this holiday,

we should all
send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up
their dark,
sad, little world.

Make sure it
says "Merry Christmas" on it........

Here's the
Address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's Not the Christian Way, you
know!)

ACLU
125 Broad
Street
18th
Floor
New York,
NY 10004

Two tons of
Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they
wouldn't know
if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend
39 cents and
tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there

is no such
thing as a "Holiday Tree". . . . It's a Christmas Tree even in the fields!!

And pass this
on to your email lists. We really want to communicate
with the
ACLU!
They really
DESERVE us!!

and here's another (again, I'm leaving the typing style/errors as is)...

Good one!!

Tought for the day

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment
and negativity, we should remember England's Prime Minister Tony Blair's
words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members
why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many Want in ...
And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die
for you:

1. Jesus Christ and,

2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom."

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET BOTH OF THEM

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
Caveats: NONE

The fundies are in panic mode.
