What role would Bill Clinton have in a Hillary administration?
I can't think of anyone more qualified to be secretary of state. Would there be anything forbidding a former president to serve in such a capacity?

3. He'll be too busy decorating the White House, having tea in the Rose Garden
and all those other First Lady duties.

I wonder what his inaugural gown would look like. Will it clash with the others on display at the Smithsonian?

6. I agree. ............A Secretary of State most of the world knows and
repects already.....maybe we could reclaim some of the allies and friends throughout the world we've lost over the last 6 years.

9. I don't think he should have any official position
at all. (Not that he isn't capable of doing any job, but...)

15. I agree.
There is successful precedent for nepotism in the Executive Branch (JFK/RFK) but it's a bad idea in general.
The Clinton case is especially bad because he was, after all, impeached. How bad it would be politically if he made a serious mistake! There's no job that he could do that someone else couldn't also do.

17. Being First Gentleman is position enough.
He'd do fund raisers, which he's good at, social calls, parties, poetry readings, and a lot of other things he's good at. Why give him a different job than host of the dinners, etc.?

12. Well ... I don't think he should have any official position because ...
female spouses of male presidents have never had any official position, so why should the male spouse of a female president have one? However, I do think that having Bill Clinton as nothing more than the "President's husband" is a waste of the man's intelligence and experience. (To be fair, I also thought it was a waste of Hillary's intelligence for her to be nothing more than the "President's wife" simply because that was expected of her.) If Hillary is elected, Bill should independently pursue peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts, like Jimmy Carter has - he should not be a part of Hillary's administration.
