I've heard so many complaints about Republicans smearing candidate's families, don't you think you could begrudge a man just a little time to be proud of his son's accomplishments, even if their values are different from ours?

Funny since Bush father is even more my age. Where does all this come from to do this in public? It may be the 'thing' now for men to show all this but I see it more as a old fool who should be out of public range. Is it really so surprising that a lot of people have a lot of steam to blow off against the Bushes? Again, it may totally not be your thing, but are these posts scolding people about propriety etc. about anything other than showing how superior you are :shrug:?
