Being liberal.....

...means I don't have to care which holidays you celebrate or don't celebrate.

It means if you decide to put a pine tree in your house and decorate it with tiny Buddhas, it's no skin off my nose.

It means if you decide to greet people with "Merry Spelunkeroo!" or "Happy Dizzledeedob!" then hey, whatever floats your boat.

It means I don't have to send around angry emails requiring that you call things certain words in order to make me happy.

It means if you want to color eggs and hide them on December 25, or read the Koran cover to cover, I don't have to feel threatened.

It means I don't have to call in to radio stations and demand that everyone greet me the way I want them to greet me, or else.


In other words, it means I don't have to feel angry and threatened over issues that are a matter of personal choice and freedom. It also means I still have something called manners, and when anyone greets me in a nice way, I remember that the appropriate response is "Thank you, and the same to you."

It's great.

Plus, I thought we were all boycotting Festivus this year because of Richards?

Also, I am not sure how the Sierra Club feels about chopping down all those pine trees for decorations.
