Thank God. My nephew is in Ireland coming home to Texas

tomorrow morning from Iraq. His second time. We are very thankful. He was wounded the first time but this time we are okay. I pray all the families will be able to post this in the near future.

While I am not proud of the policies that sent your nephew to Iraq (twice now), I do share your joy on his safe return. Please convey my thanks (and sorrow) for his service to our country. My sorrow does not at all reflect on your nephew’s service. If anything, I’m sure he was there to support his fellow brothers-in-arms whose service has been misused and abused by the * administration.

I hope that he doesn’t have to go back for a third tour anytime soon. Once again, I share your joy. Your family must be ecstatic.

P.S. I know that I could have just shared your good fortune without commenting on the unwarranted invasion and subsequent occupation, but if I left that out I think that it would ultimately diminish the service that your nephew and our troops have been called to do.
