Native American wisdom.
Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all. One is Evil It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

19. Wise thoughts. However.......
Important to remember that it's a bit too simplistic.

Anger isn't *bad*. It's very necessary. Anger is the engine that gets results. Where would we be if we hadn't gotten so angry at the * misadministration? What would have happened if the rest of the country hadn't gotten so angry that they stormed the polls in Nov?

Conversely, wouldn't we have been better off if the whole country had gotten a lot more angry back in 2000?

Same with feear..... it's *heathy* to be fearful of forest fires where I live. It motivates people to do the mitigation duties they need to pay attention to.

It's a matter of having things in perspective. CAn't be sweet and light all the time--"for every thing there is a season.." Anger and fear, etc., have their seasons.
