US WAR DEAD UP TO 2920 THIS MORNING!
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 08:57 AM by leftyladyfrommo
This number was 2906 just yesterday.

30 dead so far this month.

Wounded 21,485

Iraqi dead Dec 356
Nov 1864
Oct 1539
Nov 3539

But the Bush adm. has been lowballing these figures so the iraqi dead is most likely a lot higher than these numbers indicate.

7. I just double checked the December figure - its 30
Last month was 78 and October was 110.

Of course the Iraqi totals are absolutely awful.

4. Who cares?? Its just a number
Besides they all are volunteers and more people get killed in car wrecks. And besides those whining vets will just come home and lie about their injuries. Don't you know that after four years, patriotic flag waving Americans are getting tired of hearing about all this death and stuff. Liberals should just get over it.

I feel the need to use my sarcasm emoticon!!

And I dedicate this post to all non-liberals who check in once in a while. You are garbage in my head and in my heart and the number continues to increase on a daily basis as do my negative feelings about those who questioned my patriotism.

5. that's a lot of 'commas' as Smirk would say
we'll be over 3,000 by January and of course the tens of thousands maimed for life are rarely mentioned in these figures

10. Well, and just think how many Iraqis have been maimed.
For every 10 killed there are always a hundred wounded.

12. I saw last week that the bill for the wounded will be 127 billion
Not to mention the 300 billion or whatever we have spend so far.

This whole thing is just insane.

13. I know and the amount spent so far is $390 billion on the war....
...Just how many seriously wounded and disabled Iraq War veterans are there? I heard a number of 30,000 which just staggered me. I also heard that mental disabilities (i.e. PTSD will strike 4 out of every ten returning veterans). What a complete waste and total foolishness.
